Hail and Cupcakes

So here's some picture from that storm we had a day or two ago. I can't even remember when it was. Is that bad? Anyway... I also wanted to put some pictures up of these cupcakes I tried to make. They are for a baby shower I am going to tomorrow. I will show you what they are supposed to look like, and then how mine turned out. It's not pretty.. but I guess they will do.

Our Yard So Far...

We were going to surprise all of you when you came out this summer, but we couldn't resist taking pictures of the great job the Davidsons are doing on our yard so far. I am so happy we are leaving it to the professionals. It started out with the Aagards building us a much bigger deck and adding on and also a sidewalk on the side of our house, and then we got some curbing and rocks and shrubs. I guess the water is working, so the next step is sprinklers and sod (the the front) and planting grass in the back. I think it is looking so nice, and after waiting for over 3 years for water, we really are going to appreciate it. I hope it is all done when all of our company comes this summer.

Dad and Christians (short) visit

Christian flew out to Cody to ride motorcycles with my Dad back to New Mexico this weekend. We were so glad they were able to come over Saturday morning for breakfast. The kids were soooo excited to see Uncle Christian. They love him so much. Aren't they so cute? McKay said his friends said, "Thats funny an old man (almost 60) rides motorcycles" about Gramps, and McKay told my Dad. Dad said, Well, I'm not your average old man.. and I'm closer to 70.
Dad and Christian took a shortcut to get to Burlington from Powell, (which I wasn't aware there was one) and they came about an hour or more late. They went through Byron, Lovell.... etc. They made it to Laramie last night, and are getting an early start today.

Sydney's Dance Recitals

Sydney had her jazz and ballet recital this weekend. It was on 2 different days, so she got quite the performing experience. Her jazz dance was Cadillac Car from "Dreamgirls" and her class had a part in the ballet Cinderella the next day. This is her 3rd year in dance lessons and really loves it. She loves dancing with her friend Vivian.

So, it's definitely been a busy time of year for us.. but I got some photos that my mom let me "borrow" and scan and after all that hard work, I thought I would make a slide show because I thought the pictures were so fun (ny). Plus, I knew my sister and Dad would like them. Hope you enjoy!!

Sister Bear and Too Much Birthday

Has anyone read that Berenstein Bears book Sister Bear and Too Much Birthday? Well that explains our little Abby's week in a nutshell. She had a couple of preschool friends over on Thursday to play.. and with Easter celebrations all weekend, it was kind of like her birthday went on for 5 days. She sure enjoyed every minute of it. Her actual birthday was Monday, but we were all tired out from all the parties that after we went to Cody, and took her out to lunch, I came home and painted McKay's room. I don't think she minded too much. She just kept saying all week, " I'm so lucky..." that's how we feel . We can't believe our little baby is 4.

Yes, I made that cake... I have always wanted to make a fancy cake. I watch Ace of Cakes all the time and bought fondant and gum paste and went to town. Barbie had to have a little amputation of the feet, but I am saving that doll, with 3 girls, I bet this isn't the last barbie cake I make.
