What a fun visit!

This is the only picture we could remember to take of Grammy and Aunt Becky's visit to Burlington this weekend. We were so happy to have them come and visit us. The kids were too excited. We had a fun time, they went to church with us, and went out to lunch on Monday, and had Home Evening. We love it when people come to visit us. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful family. Thanks for coming out to Wyoming!!

School Picture Time!

Well here they are. School pictures are always so fun. I don't understand the concept of retakes. Aren't they supposed to look like that? Even if the pictures aren't perfect, I just love them so much. They remind me of childhood. Abby Katherine is 3 years old, (pre preschool) Sydney Taylor is 6, (1st grade) Maddie Elizabeth is 9 (4th grade) and McKay Nicholas is 12 (7th grade).
I can't believe how fast they grow up.

Sydney's field trip

Sydney's Field Trip was yesterday. We went to look at dinosaur tracks in the hills past Greybull, towards Shell. We also went to a dinosaur museum and to a park to eat lunch. It was a lot of fun, and special to spend the whole day with just her (and about 20 other 1st graders).
It was perfect weather for a day at the park. I took some dramamine for the bus, I just don't understand why I still get so car sick after all these years. And, I just gotta say, I am glad I teach one on one lessons, I really don't think I could ever teach a group of 20 6 year olds. If I hear "Teacher.....!!!" one more time, I will just scream. Abby went to our next door neighbor Vickie's house and had a great day going to preschool with Grant and playing.

Abby's First Day of Preschool!!

Well, Abby went back to preschool this year. She loved the 2 months she had last year and was excited to start up again on Tuesday. She gets to go with her friends Grant, Cara and Kelsi. She is such a big girl and loves the hour and a half she gets to spend with her friends and teachers.
Today we went to check the mail for her gramps and grandma who are both out of town. My dad is at my sisters and my mom is at my grandmas. I told her we were going to their houses, but they wouldn't be there. She was crying a little, and I said, "Oh, do you want gramps?" She said, no, I said, oh do you want grandma? She said no, and I was confused, because usually that's what she cries for. She said, whimpering..." I want chinese food..." so, I only had enough time to either go to the bank or go get her some food, so we got some fried rice for her today. She is just like her mama... ryan would say.

Back to Piano Lessons.....

Well, I am enjoying my last days of freedom, before I go back to work on Monday. I am really excited for the new year, lots of new students, and returning, and having Cailee teach with me. I already have 9 students for her, and about 40 for me, so we will be busy. I am looking forward to getting back to a routine since my kids will start piano again next week too, with their 3 different teachers also. Dance and Gymnastics start too. I hope we are ready. Cailee and I put together all of the assignment binders. It only took 2 days after school to get it done, but they look sharp. I figured out the best way to try to schedule everyone this year, I took everyones names and typed them out and put tape on the back and made a big grid with all the days we are teaching and just started putting people in places and then it was easy to move them, and replace them. Some of the names are not sticky anymore, but that is the best way. I am going to do that every year.
Ryan and McKay are gone to their first game tonight. I know they are having a great time. Sydney and Maddie got home from soccer and we are having a "girl club" (according to Sydney) and eating top ramen for dinner and in our pjs by 5:00pm. How fun. My Mom has Abby tonight to spend the night.
Abby is officially potty trained and has been wearing panties for 4 days now, so we have had a productive week!! Ryan and I have honestly been buying diapers for 13 years straight without a break. I wonder what all that money could buy.... anyway.. glad to get that done. She gets up to the potty all by herself, I guess that's what happens when you wait til they are almost 3 and a half!!! Anyway, we are proud of her. Well, that's our exciting life this week... until next time
