Sledding

So my wonderful sister and brother in law gave us a great new sled for Christmas, and our home teacher Mike called and asked us if we wanted to go sledding with his family a couple of days ago. We don't need to be asked twice!! It was a lot of fun, even if we aren't what you call an "outdoorsy" family... We all had so much fun. Thanks Amanda and Mike, and Sara and Christian for the great present!!!

Maddie was lovin it! She brought her friend Lizeth along, and they had a great time! 

What a pretty girl! She is almost 12 and growing up way too fast!

Amanda and I went down, and we hit a bush thing. I didn't at first to lean back, but after much laughing, we brushed ourselves off, and tried again.

I still fell over at the end. I am not the most "graceful" sledder.

My little family just loved it! Jackson was sick and Amber Wardell watched him for us.  That was so nice of her. We don't think he would of done so good in the cold...We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and had hot chocolate stirred with sticks. If that wasn't camping, we don't know what is! What a fun afternoon, on the first day of vacation!!! Thanks again everyone!

Ok, this is so hard, because well let's face it. I am pretty vain. And I wish I were about 40 pounds lighter, but since that can happen.. (by Christmas) I guess we will have to choose between these two and Jackson didn't like being cold, so we might have to put some cute pictures of him in there too...

Halloween

Here are two of the many many many pictures we took. I couldn't get one of McKay, he was either gone to Seminary, or missing for the day.. also, on his birthday, I forgot to take any pictures. What a bad mom!! He had a great day though.. I made him a big turkey dinner and 2 pies, banana cream, and hershey's chocolate (and by making the pies, I mean defrosting).. Anyway, it was fun. I can't believe my little boy is 15!!

New Furniture

Amanda took me last week to Billings with a horse trailer to get all my new furniture. I should of took pictures after I cleaned the house, but I was too excited to do it right when it was up. Now the house is clean, but I have no energy to take new pictures!

Clean Studio

Well, my in laws came to visit last week and helped us organize the piano studio and move a piano. They were so great and so much help, I can't believe it! Here are some pictures of their hard work!

First day of school

The kids went to school today. They had fathers blessings last night, and it was so sweet. The kids were excited Sydney woke up at 3:15 and got all ready. Abby took 2 bites and said, that's all I can do, because I am so excited! I had a migraine and caught a cold yesterday, so I didn't go to bed til 5am.. so they didn't get a fancy breakfast, but they got chicken picatta for lunch. Gotta love McKay and Ryan coming home for lunch!! It's going to be a great year!!

Cailee's wedding!

Cailee (our beloved friend, babysitter, piano student since she was 6, achievement day girl, primary student, YW, and just about as close to a daughter as I could have (except for my 3 of course) got married this week to Chris Haskell from Lovell. I joke that I am not gaining a son, I am just losing a daughter, :(
They are very happy and I took lots o pictures! Thanks Cook family for letting me and my kids tag along with all of you this week, and share this fun time in Cailee's life!
